Notes from NAMCC Event Committee . . . Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh We're excited to kick off our monthly potluck dinner. We look forwarding to sharing a meal and having the opportunity to get to know each other better. InShaAllah. The Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) said, “When a group of people assembles for the remembrance of Allah, the angels surround them (with their wings), (Allah's) mercy envelops them, Sakinah, or tranquility descends upon them and Allah makes a mention of them before those who are near Him.” (Muslim) Dear Musallies, Everyone is welcome to join, we do encourage bringing a dish or more to help fill any open food slots. Recommended etiquette and suggestions: 1- Try to bring at least a dish :) 2- Please bring food in a aluminum foil tray. 3- We encourage you to split your dishes for both brothers and sisters, especially if you're bring a good quantity. 4- Help with the cleanup by collecting left overs and your dishware. 5- Have fun, enjoy other tasty dishes and don't forget to mingle :) **** Serving Size The expected estimate for our next potluck is around 200+ people. * We encourage each line item entry to bring enough for [10] people, if you plan on bringing less then you don't need to signup. Safety and Health Notes Give extra care for hygiene when preparing or serving any food. We recommend wearing a mask and gloves.
