Notes from Vivian Jefferson . . . Thank you for volunteering to help with Lunch For The Soul (LFTS). Your time and help are greatly appreciated. This month donations from the Virtual Casserole fund will be used to purchase the meal from a local Latino restaurant. We appreciate your generosity in supporting this ministry! We still need fruit and protein bars, as well as assistance with set-up and clean-up as listed below. Please deliver food to the Holy Cross kitchen by 11:15 AM at the latest on Wednesday, August 5. Place fruit in the refrigerator if you drop it off before the 5th. *NEW* Additional volunteers are needed in the morning to pack brown bag lunches, a program we are starting with funds from a Metro DC Synod grant. Please arrive at 9:30 AM on August 5th to help make sandwiches and pack a to-go bag for the men who attend LFTS.
