5 Tips for a Stress-Free Fall Season
Earlier this summer, I was taking a meal to a new widower. I didn't know him well, but I knew his wife and wanted to show my love for her by caring for her husband. In this situation the loss was very recent, so I wanted to bring everything ready-to-eat with as few instructions as possible.
I put the main parts of the meal in take-out containers, so they would stay warm and could be easily stored. I also added some soup with cheese and crackers for lunch the next day. I labeled everything with Post-it notes and included a sympathy note. He was so appreciative! At the end of his meal schedule, I decided to take one more meal because I knew how grateful he was for the weekly meals.
There are times in life when simplicity and clear instructions help more than others. This time of the year is one of them! There are so many changes and additions to our schedules with a few holidays thrown in, so being efficient matters.
