Savoring the Season with Simple Meals DECEMBER 10, 2024 / KELLI NAPOTNIK / I recently had a moment to meet a beloved friend for a drink at our local coffee shop. I enjoyed the time away from my normal responsibilities and it was wonderful to catch up with her. We both shared how easy it can be to feel overwhelmed, especially with dinner ideas each night. We both agreed how much we love the simplicity of one-pan meals!
As the holidays approach us (one we may have already celebrated recently!), it can be easy to be swept up in the rush of preparing meals, shopping for gifts, and hosting family. I'm sharing some of my favorite simple recipes for soups and stews as well as one-pan meals.
Soups and Stews
I love a warm bowl of soup served with a salad or a slice of fresh bread. Here are five soup or stew recipes to keep on hand! They are prepared using a crockpot to keep cooking to a minimum and would be wonderful to come home to after a busy day.
One Pan Meals
Another one of my favorite ways to make cooking easier is preparing one-pan meals. Requiring little effort, these meals are simple to double and easy to transport! For our one-pan meal ideas to help inspire your weeknight routine, click here.
Crockpot stews and one-pan dishes are perfect for savoring the flavors of the season. By preparing your ingredients in advance, you can enjoy a relaxing evening with a warm meal and your family. Using simple ingredients is also a healthy way to balance the indulgence of holiday feasting. Whether you're reflecting on the Advent season or simply appreciating the tranquility that comes with the change of seasons, we hope these meal ideas will help you embrace more time with the loved ones around you.
