Take Them A Smoothie Kit
Smoothies have always been a wonderful way to cool off during the spring and summer months. I love how refreshing and nutritious they are! This week, we are sharing a few of our favorite smoothie kit recipes that are easy to take along with a meal. We've even included a free printable!
Here's why we love smoothie kits:
  1. They are easy to make!
  2. They are easy to transport!
  3. They are super healthy! A win for me as a mom when my kids are hungry and asking for snacks!
  4. They can be enjoyed at any time and kept in the freezer until convenient to make!
  5. They can be enjoyed one handed! (perfect for new moms!)
Whether you are taking a meal to a newly postpartum mom, a friend who is recovering from a surgery, or sharing with someone who needs a pick-me-up, a smoothie kit offers nutritious whole foods you can feel good about taking.
Smoothie Kit Recipes
Simply, add the pre-measured ingredients to a freezer-friendly quart size bag and use a Sharpie to write the amount of liquid and/or yogurt to add! When you're ready to make a smoothie, just put everything in a blender. Each kit makes 2 servings.
  • 1 ripe banana, peeled
  • 1 large handful of spinach
  • 1/4 cup frozen or fresh strawberries
  • 1/4 cup frozen or fresh blueberries
*When ready to enjoy, puree with 1 cup of milk (cows, almond or coconut), a handful of ice cubes, and 1/2 cup of plain greek yogurt
Peach Raspberry Smoothie (Adapted from Two Peas and Their Pod)
  • 1 cup sliced peaches
  • 1/2 cup frozen raspberries
  • 1 cup vanilla unsweetened almond milk
  • 1-2 tsp honey
  • 3-4 ice cubes
*When ready to enjoy, add raspberries and peaches and blend. Then add the milk, honey and ice cubes and blend until smooth.
Peanut Butter, Banana and Honey Smoothie (Adapted from keyingredient)
  • 2 bananas, frozen
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup of creamy peanut butter
  • 1 Tbsp honey
*When ready to enjoy, blend the bananas. Then add in milk, honey, and peanut butter and combine until smooth. For a thicker smoothie, use less milk. For a thinner smoothie, use more.
  • 1 cup of fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1 ripe banana, peeled
  • 1 Tablespoon of peanut butter (or nut butter of your choice)
  • 1 cup of almond milk
*When ready to enjoy, mix 1 cup of blueberries, 1 banana, 1 cup of almond milk and 1 Tablespoon of peanut butter and blend.
We're also giving away this super cute smoothie printable so you can write down these recipes! Add all the ingredients to an insulated tote or a cute gift bag and take it to a friend.
Do you see a recipe you love? The next time you take a meal, take a smoothie kit and share with us on Instagram or Facebook. We'd love to see your kits!
