Taking Fun Foods FEBRUARY 11, 2025 / KELLI NAPOTNIK / ![]() As Valentine's Day quickly approaches, we turn our hearts toward those we love. It's a wonderful opportunity to send a kind note to a loved one, bake an extra special treat to share, or even remember loved ones who have passed away.
One of my favorite places to check for inspiration is our Pinterest board, Taking Fun Foods. Over the years, our staff has curated fun and interesting pins that will inspire you to brighten someone's day with the food you take! Here are some of my favorite ideas:
![]() Valentine's Teddy Bear Hearts
Looking for a cute activity to send along with a meal to a family with children? Make your own Valentine's Teddy Bear Hearts kit by sending Teddy Grahams, Sweethearts, and royal icing. Children of all ages will enjoy putting them together. Simply attach the Sweethearts to the Teddy Grahams with royal icing. Allow them to dry and then display them in a cute jar alongside your meal.
![]() Heart Shaped Brownies
Nadia shared these adorable heart-shaped brownies and we can't help but admire them. They are easy to make using store-bought brownie mix, melting chocolate, and your choice of edible decorations. She even found the heart-shaped molds at Dollar Tree. You could also use a heart-shaped cookie cutter. Just bake the brownies per the instructions, and then cut them out individually with the cookie cutter. Click here for the full instructions.
![]() Heart Shaped Fruit
How cute are these Valentine's fruit skewers?
Simply choose your favorite fruits and cut them into heart shapes. You can either arrange them in a fruit salad or use skewers to create a festive fruit bouquet. What a creative touch to accompany a delicious meal.
![]() These delightful strawberry heart mini cheesecakes, made with a graham cracker crust and a simple cheesecake filling, would be a fun baking project to do with the kids. They also make a charming addition to brighten someone's day if you're delivering a meal and want to include a dessert.
![]() Send a love note in the form of a cookie! Click on the link above to see how to make these at home. If you don't have the time to make pie crust from scratch, use store-bought!
Food can be exciting and enjoyable, and special days like Valentine's Day, can provide an opportunity to be creative. We hope these ideas inspire you! Don't forget to check out our Pinterest boards for more ways to add some fun to the meals you prepare.
