Walking Tacos SEPTEMBER 1, 2016 / ADINA BAILEY / I was first introduced to Walking Tacos about 2 years ago when they were for sale at a Relay for Life that I was participating in with my family. They are a great meal because you dont wind up with any dirty dishes - and they are portable during this busy time of the year. I know the idea has been around for a while, but it just registered with me that it's a fun, easy, and very versatile meal to take to a family... especially a family with growing boys! All you do to make Walking Tacos is buy individually packaged Doritos (or Fritos to make them gluten-free), and instruct your recipient to Open the bag, Crush the chips, and Add their favorite toppings from the ones that you sent along. I decided to take this meal to a family this week, so here's what I have planned to send along for fillings:
And that's all! I'm sending disposable forks, so this meal will have zero clean up. I'm also sending along some watermelon and brownies to round out the meal. I haven't made my meal yet, but here's a helpful photo that will show you the final product. Enjoy! P.S. You can add seasoning to your taco meat, or just use a little salt and pepper. For each lb. of meat I add 1 tsp cumin, 1 tsp oregano, 1/2 tsp paprika and 1/4 tsp chili powder. Read other recent articles by Adina Bailey:
